Property Tax ENFIA – Tax for 7 million property owners

On September 20 or 21, the ENFIA statements for the approximately 7 million property owners will be available on the Internet, on the site myaade.gov.gr .

You will search for them through the site myaade.gov.gr, where you will find the new page of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR) .

This year, it is estimated that several homeowners will pay a reduced property tax ENFIA.

Specifically reduced property tax ENFIA by 50% will be paid by more than 1.3 million property owners, while about 70,000 will be completely exempt from payment.

The first installment of these will be paid on September 30, while the last on February 2022.

According to the legislation, property tax ENFIA is reduced to 50% for property owners if:

– The total annual taxable family income of the previous tax year has not exceeded 9,000 euros, increased by 1,000 euros for the spouse and each dependent family member.

– The total area of the buildings owned by the taxpayer and the other members of their family (taking into account the percentage of co-ownership and the type of right) should not exceed 150 square meters.

– The total objective value of the buildings and the plots within the city plan owned by the taxpayer or their family, should not exceed 85,000 euros if  they are single, 150,000 euros if they are married without children or a single parent family with a dependent child and 200,000 euros if they are married with one or two dependent children or a single-parent family with two dependent children.

– The taxpayer, their spouse and dependent children of their family, must be tax residents of Greece.
